Neighbor to Neighbor Food Drive 2018

Hi Neighbor!

The SouthEast Neighborhood Association is participating in the Food Depot's "Neighbor to Neighbor" 7th Annual Food Drive to be concluded on Saturday, September 15, 2018. To support this effort, the SENA board has decided again to encourage donations for the Neighbor to Neighbor food drive. Each $1 donated equates to 3 lb. of food! You can send a check to: Dot Greene, Office Admin, The Food Depot 1222 A Siler Road Santa Fe, NM 87507. Please put our neighborhood name – SENA – on the memo line. You may also donate by phone using your credit card: Call Dot Greene at (505) 471-1633 ext. 130 or visit on line at www.thefood depot.org/donate. All monetary donors will receive a tax receipt letter from the Food Depot. Additionally, SENA is partnering this year with the First Baptist Church of Santa Fe (983-9141) who will be canvassing our neighborhood with flyers on the first (9-1) and second (9-8) Saturdays in September and has offered the church as a collection point for food donations on Saturday 9-15 from 9a.m. to noon or you may leave donated food at your home's curb for pickup between 9 and 11 a.m.

Thank you for your generous donation!

The Neighbor to Neighbor Annual Food Drive has grown from 14 neighborhoods in 2012 to 87 in 2017, collecting  over 152,000 lbs. in food and monetary donations last year.  The Food Depot plays an important role in distributing food to Northern New Mexicans who struggle with hunger. Hunger is constant in the lives of many in Santa Fe County where close to 18,500 food insecure people live, including over 6000 children who often go to bed hungry. The Food Depot distributes enough food to provide over 450,000 meals per month.  Our local food bank does so much more than just feed people - it changes their lives - one meal at a time. Please help SENA in making the 2018 Neighbor to Neighbor Food Drive the most successful yet. Additional information about the Food Depot is located on their web page: https://www.thefooddepot.org/ Information about the SouthEast Neighborhood Association - SENA - can be found at http://www.senasantafe.org/
