Santa Fe, NM – After a successful and well-attended public meeting on January 7th, the City of Santa Fe is holding a second meeting to give folks who could not make it the first time an opportunity to comment on the City’s approach to the short term rental market.
A recent staff report to the Santa Fe City Council determined that in spite of a 350 permit limitation on short term rentals in the existing Short Term Rental Ordinance, there appear to be more than 1,000 in operation with 439 being offered through AirBnB alone.
Interested parties have the opportunity to provide feedback on the report, short term rentals in general, and the remedial solutions under consideration at an informal meeting on Thursday, January 28 at 5:00pm in the Peralta Room at The Santa Fe Community Convention Center.
This is the second in the series of public meetings, intended to give those who could not attend the first a chance to voice their concerns. Input received at the first meeting will be combined with input received at this one and reported to the City Council on February 10th.
